Under the direction of Dr. Edythe Boitnott, DNP, FNP-C and Amber Patterson, FNP-C, Bliss Aesthetics and Wellness delivers the highest quality services and products to treat mind and body. Our treatment plans are customized to match the personal goals and beauty budget of each individual.
Edythe and Amber are longtime residents of Martinsville, VA and have been serving the medical needs of the area for 30 years. It was from these experiences that the needs for non-surgical cosmetic treatments were identified. With the ever-growing technology advancements, the opportunity has now become our reality.
Bliss Aesthetics is Martinsville’s premier medical spa offering treatment for a variety of cosmetic and medical problems, such as acne, cellulite, sun damage, aging spots, hyperpigmentation, visible capillaries, wrinkles, loose skin, unwanted hair and many others. Meet Our Providers
Dr. Edythe Boitnott, DNP, FNP-C
Edythe is a passionate provider of medical and aesthetic services – and continues to search for modalities that help bring out your inner beauty!
Edythe Boitnott moved to the area in 1990 after graduating from nursing school in Danville, VA in 1993. She worked at Danville Hospital in ICU, Telemetry, Labor and delivery, Emergency Room, and Urology. Returning to school she changed jobs to work in Home Health from 1997-2003 while obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science from Old Dominion University in 1998 and Master’s in Nursing from Radford University in 2003.
After becoming a Nurse Practitioner she worked in the field of Neurology from 2003 and Urgent Care starting in 2007. She completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in 2013 and is currently adjunct faculty at Patrick and Henry Community College. She enjoys spending time with her four children and two grandchildren who reside in Myrtle Beach and Charlotte. Her nest at home is empty now that her youngest son has joined the U.S. Navy.
Amber Patterson, FNP-C
Amber is a certified family nurse practitioner who is passionate about finding new treatments to reduce the visual effects of aging while maintaining a natural beauty.
Amber Patterson was born in Bassett, VA where she graduated with honors from Bassett High School in 1997 before going on to James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2002 and went on to work as a floor nurse for 13 years while traveling from the west coast and back.
After starting a family, Amber decided to leave the hospital workforce in search of better hours. In 2014 she graduated from Old Dominion University with a Master’s in Nursing and became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Amber enjoys spending time with her family, while camping and traveling in her free time.
